What’s next for HR? The rise of the people-focused organisation

The actions of HR professionals have been critical in meeting recent work challenges, but if they want to keep leading their businesses, they must become even more people-centric

If you needed proof that HR’s status has improved over the past few years, research among global c-suite and senior HR leaders has found that 87% agree the pandemic has accelerated change in the function. Alongside this, 60% of employees have noticed a difference, with HR becoming more involved in driving change and leading on people-related decisions.

However, this improved profile could be short-lived. A worrying 52% of the c-suite think that changes to HR’s profile are temporary. And while 81% of them agree HRs’ priorities are aligned with those of the business, 59% don’t feel the function is taking a leading role.

So what’s next for HR if it is to make its higher profile and influence permanent?
