Diversity and inclusion – D&I – is top of the agenda for many organisations in 2021, and certainly not before time. But how can we create real, systemic change in the workplace?
Too often, D&I policy is designed to address the symptoms of failure, such as prejudice and discrimination. But truly diverse and inclusive workplaces celebrate a universal truth: we are all the same, and we are all different (and different is good).
As human beings, we’re all susceptible to unconscious bias. Examining the underlying drivers of our thoughts and behaviours is essential if we are to build genuinely inclusive working environments. And the rewards of doing so can be huge: creating a culture that values, respects and encourages differences provides organisations with a true competitive advantage.
Join us for this webinar on what D&I means at its core, where Euan Batten, head of the Insights Global Consultant and Practitioner Development team, Fenil Khiroya (UK Head of Human Resources at Standard Chartered Bank) and Teresa Boughey (CEO of JungleConsultancy) will be discussing:
What are the obstacles to creating more diverse and inclusive workplaces?
Do current D&I policies go far enough?
How can we implement diversity policies that truly promote the understanding, acceptance and valuing of different races, ethnicities, genders, ages, religions, disabilities and sexual orientations?
How can HR teams help create an inclusive working culture that not only removes barriers, discrimination and intolerance, but also celebrates difference?
What are the benefits of building truly diverse and inclusive workplaces?
