Good Work Plan 2020: how to prepare for the latest onboarding legislation

Late last year the government released its Good Work Plan, which outlined a range of new legislation in response to the Taylor Review of Modern Working Practices that aim to better serve and protect workers in the United Kingdom. Among them was a worker’s right to a day one written statement.

Where employers at the moment enjoy a two-month grace period in delivering these documents, such as the contract and offer letter, the necessity to have it completed by the time a successful candidate arrives will for most require a new way of working.
