The ups and downs of hiring well-researched candidates

How long do you spend researching holiday destinations before parting with hard-earned money? Two days? A week? As it turns out, most people spend more time working out options for their next fortnight of summer sun than their next career move.

But there are some people out there to which the opposite applies – meet the informed job candidates.

Glassdoor defines an informed candidate as “someone who is well-researched and engaged with your company, which means they will turn out to be the right fit and – once hired – get on-boarded faster, exhibit greater productivity and stay at a job longer”.
